To apply to fill a vacant position, go to www.azgovernor.gov and click on Offices and Appointments and then scroll down to Apply to Serve on a Board or Commission. The Arizona Board of Appraisal consists of nine members appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate. Four members are appraisers: one licensed1; one certified residential2; one certified general3; and one licensed or certified4. Three members are public with no personal or business appraisal relationship5. One member is a registered property tax agent6. One member is a public member employed by a lending institution7 (cannot be an appraiser). No more than two appraisers from the same appraisal association or organization can serve concurrently. Members serve staggered terms of three years and cannot serve more than two consecutive terms of their own.
